The Prepar3D v5.3 Hotfix 2 (5.3.17.28160) is now available and can be downloaded immediately from the Purchased Downloads section of the website. The Prepar3D v5.3 Hotfix 2 contains additional resolutions for high priority issues identified after the Prepar3D v5.3 release. Only the Client installer is required for the majority of fixes present in Prepar3D v5.3 Hotfix 2. The Content, Scenery, and SDK installers are optional. Prepar3D v5.3 Hotfix 1 Update

There was a bug introduced in the v5.3 hotfix which caused airport lighting to remain on during the day. The hotfix has been updated with this fix. If you already downloaded the hotfix only a client update is required to fix this issue. The original hotfix version is 5.3.15.28130, the updated version with the airport lighting fix is 5.3.15.28131. The hotfix post has been updated to reflect the new version and this is also the current version available in the downloads page.

The Prepar3D v5.3 update is packed with numerous performance, visual, and usability improvements. Updates to weather systems including optimized cloud and terrain blending, dynamic lighting on precipitation, improved sun and moon lighting, and better fog visuals make training in difficult conditions and locations even more immersive. Performance has been improved across the whole platform including areas with dense content, traffic, and weather rendering.
